There is this club in new orleans on canal street called, "Ye olde original dungeon"

we had to make aim icons, wallpapers, website, etc. they wanted a grundgy5, gothic, lookin thing

me and the other intern guy, had to do aim icons and wallpapers.

this is one of the wallpapers i did, but im not satisfied.

that is a Y, it looks like a D for some reason.
i hate it when fonts do that.

ok, rasterize that Y and fix it yourself, or make one yourself, that looks like a D.

also, burn up both sides of the page, not just the right side.

I'd suggest to try to make the text fit in by making it a light brown and erase some of it with a grunge brush so it looks like it's part of the page.

also, about the text, try to align the square of the Y with the rest of the text, and if you're using a pattern for the paper, try to make it smaller, wrinkles are usually finer.

agreed. Also, cast a huge light on the whole wallpaper for some super cool effect. Filters > Render > Lighting effect. Play around but keep both colors white. (Oh this has to be on a plain white layer). Then play with the blending mode.
