DragonSpires is a free MORPG coded in Java back in 1998. It was created by Adam Maloy (Mech) and Chris Wolf (Motorhed) in an attempt to reinvent the wonderfull world of the original DOS based DragonSpires. The game has many features, including, and not limited to:
- A beautiful 2-dimensional isometric world.
- An adventure that will keep you entertained for a long time.
- The ability to create custom user maps, and upload them to the server to invite friends to play on.
- Dozens of monsters scattered around the world, with a rewarding handfull of bosses.
- Many curious items, with interesting effects.
- A community of roleplayers unlike no other.
- Experience and skill system (new)
- And so much more...
Note: I say MORG instead of MMORG because we don't have enough players for it to be considered massive :P But, it's a shame we don't since the game is wonderful.
I'm one of the players that played way back in 1998~2000 and I recently had the urge to host the game after its many years of downtime. I work with 3 other friends that used to play on the original server to improve the game and add new content. DragonSpires is really wonderful; I recently tried UO and wondered how so many people could still play it without even givin DS a chance. I hope you come and try it out; we're making it better and better every passing day (or, at least, we try to)
