Integrally speaking, no it has no valor at all for small kids, even for teenagers, i wouldn't recommend letting kids watching pokemon whatever the version might be or playing it.
Why, cuz they affect the way of thinking of the kid depending on how easy is he/she to impress with a few flashes and nice effects
