Reputation: 12dont want to argue with you but its much more then just another fps its not server based iether.its the closest thing to ww2 you can get on a game yea its a mmofps becouse its more then 500+ people on 1 server.and you rank up in this game allowing you to use other vehicles things. all the ranks are real military ranks.
requiem is pretty close to our time . actually looking to the design of house and etc they do actually look close to our age and not fantasy genre . So id say Requiem is close to urban/science fiction mmo with gory features
Reputation: 12well you have to kill off the towns defences wich every town has posted ai so you cant just run in and take it. you have to set a mission wich can be called a quest in order to get rank. rank can be considered lvl couse the higher rank you have the more command you have and other vehicles. rank is a grind in the end but thats last ranks. yea. so ai can be considered monster, missions looked at like quests, and grind can be considered geting your rank up. yea all while holding gun or what ever you are at the time.
Reputation: 12you aparently havent played enough fps to see the difference. theres slim to none fps that let you fight with over 500+ people on the map of europe its the actual map of europe real towns of europe. you need to play this game then talk. ive played lots of fps and liked them but there still jsut another fps this one is by far more advance and has mmorpg content/affect put into it. im not gonna argue with it about it anymore. just another fps is 30/60 players server based fpsgame.play it then talk to me again.
Reputation: 12yea they do need to add more modern wepon style mmorpg/fps
Reputation: 10What I would like is:
A dark themed car battle mmo with huge maps and lots of players at a single map. That means a really big map. No laser/futuristic stuff, no nitros too, just cars made for mayhem and destruction.
I think we need more action MMO's. Maybe with gameplay similar to Castlevania or something.
I'm not too big on Survival Horror games (I get scared extremely easily). I watched a Fatal Frame video like, a month ago and I'm still scared shitless now.
Reputation: 17I just thought probably worst possible genre for mmorpgs. Underwater sea mmorpg. You fight the enemies with watertrident and the enemies would be sharks, fishs, clamps, everything underwater. Tho the cool feature would be this could be totally something like space-fighter mmo just underwater, you can move every direction, not just back, forward, left and right. But seriously something like space fighting mmo would be cool. Where one needs tactics, and like strategy to drive enemies to mine-fields etc. The range of the weapons just would needed to be somewhat gapped. Like not that you see one enemy 4 lightyears away and you could just blast it off.
Also not so much of genre, but idea what i would once like to see in mmo. In ancient game like chrono trigger there were combo skills, where you needed like 2 to 3 guys perform a single powerful attack. This could be made use somewhat like usage of weapons. Like you could dual wield a fire staff and ice staff then make spells that use both of the elements. Or maybe you could like cast fire-spell on party member and next skill is going to use the fire spells power that was casted upon. For example you cast fire buff on monk, monk casts next shield on all players ---> it becomes fire-shield.
