    Default Russia won!

Yep. Today's game was really big.

    Russia KILLED Netherlands.

    Discuss.

By the way, it was crazy for 3 blocks here in T.O.

Thank God Russia knocked them out, because if Italy beats Spain tomorrow, they would've had to play Netherlands again in Semi-Finals lol.

Great win for Russia, but I have no clue how they got so far. In my opinion, they are a very bad team.

I think they're just conserving their energy.

I doubt it, I mean, their corners suck, their passes half the time aren't received, or they go flying the wrong way LOL, and their style is just very simple.

I hope Germany or Italy wins, but good luck to everyone!

    I like Germany...a LOT.

But since there are no German areas, I'll conform to Italy.

Hang around some friends near Woodbridge.

But oh well. I knew they would of won. They are the youngest team in it, a lot of energy and skills shown from them, it was an easy win.

Seems like it'll be Russia vs Spain. Italy has been playing horrible.. I don't think they'll be able to keep up with Spains speed unless they get their acts together.

Right now Spain has already won the match.. but those Italians are slimy and always find a way through. I hope its true when they say the Italians always start up slow.

But in the end... for this tourney Spain has been the better team... they are being called the undogs in this match though.. but all the underdogs have been winning... lets see where this takes us tomorrow.

Basically, how are Spain the underdogs? They've won all their games in the groups. ITALY are viewed as the underdogs, no one believes in them, yet i believe they will come out victorious.

Btw, shut the **** up. "those Italians are slimy and always find a way through".

also, what did you mean by "I hope its true when they say the Italians always start up slow".

    *EDIT*
Edited to make it sound less assholeish lol. I am pissed though because of what you said about Italians, as I am one.

Russia played, what I believe to be, the best game of the cup yet. Their number 10 runs like a mother****er, and I'm clueless as to how much energy that guy can have. Russia deserved to win, and they did. Russia is the youngest team, in terms of player age. After that 4-1 loss to Spain, this was the best way to retaliate.

@Sylce: Do you even know what you're talking about? Vaffanculo.

Its-a spicy meatball! , had to do it.

Turkey vs Croatia. Talk 'bout comeback kings, my god, 1 goal on the 2nd last minute against us in extended time, then 1 goal back to them in the last minute. Then penalty shootouts. Seriously high-octane stuff.

Russia was the BEST, The Netherlands were so convinced of themselves because they won from all teams in the 'pool of death' and thought they could win easily, but they got owned hard. Now their fans say they lost because of Boulahrouz's daughters death..

I admit Italy's defense is lacking at the moment, but they're still well prepared. They have Chiellini, Panucci, Materazzi, Zambrotta, and the great Grosso, five excellent defenders. I'm only sorry about Cannavaro not being able to play, but those are more than enough to withstand any attack. The forwards is where the problem is at. Toni has had so many chances but he's been blowing every single one of them. He's in good shape; I dunno where you get off saying he's over the hill, when he scored the most goals in the Bundesliga. Sooner or later he's just going to explode. Del Piero, although I love the guy, is too old for the job. Italy's one of the oldest teams in terms of age. It's about time they begin to bring youth in it, like Russia.

I was like NO WAY! when Russia beat Netherlands. The key for Russia's sucess is their coach. He took underdog teams incredibly far already!

Ah,the Euro is not exciting to me anymore. Blame it on Germany. God damn that ugly Schweinsteiger. I BLAME IT ON HIM AND HIS 2 ASSISTS AND GOAL!

I also blame the butterfingers goalkeeper.

    Simple math time!

Germany 3-2 Portugal. They beat Portugal which makes Darc generate hate.

I feel so bad for Russia's coach, the whole Netherlands hates him and thinks he's a traitor (he's Dutch and was The Netherlands' coach back in 2002 and now he's Russia's coach)

    Simei, it's simple math time.

That was then, and this is now. Anyone who would still hold a grudge on him (except fans) are losers.

He led Russia to a victory, for which the team of Netherlands and their coach couldn't.

No, you call it soccer there. It's still called football by definition.

You'd think, right? I just watched it (last few minuted left) and it completely depressed me...such a boring match and Italy played horribly.

For the love of everything Luca TOni isn't god...STOP TRYING TO GET IT TO HIS HEAD...THERE ISN'T A GIANT MAGNET THAT SOMEHOW ATTRACTS BALLS THERE!!! No but seriously all Italy did was try to pass it to Toni...90% of the time screwing up...we also didn't do that great in defense in my opinion...

But rofl at David! That guy kept falling to the ground...so much that the ref had to give him a yellow card .

It's crazy, but I don't doubt Guss Hiddink. He did a great job with Australia too. Nice match btw.

But damn... Croatia lost to TurkeY!!!! I love the croatian team. So ****ing lucky Turkey

Xavi, imo, is better than Cesc. Cesc isn't as rutined as Xavi. He is good but not as good as Xavi...

As for the Arshavin vs Modric... You can't compare them. Arshavin is a very forwarded player, meant to score and do score. Modric is more of a team player. Both players have their bads and goods.

As for the tournament as a whole, don't expect any more interesting matches. It's all ''robot-soccer''. Germany plays very very boring. So does Italia and Spain ( which ever would win). Turkey, always good in the end. Only team that has something tactical and exciting about them is by far Russia.
I wanna know when Holland became the absolute best football team, based on a couple of good games. That's honestly what I'd like to know.

Germany play tactically excellent, and intelligently too. Most importantly, they play relevantly. They play to win, but they are aware of what games matter most. Finishing second in the group doesn't bother them, because look where they are and look where Croatia are now. They're an excellent team, arguably the most balanced. Capable of playing exciting football, see the Portugal game, but also capable of grinding out a win.

Xavi is very overrated. Spain have played much better since Fabregas came on. Xavi does not have that sixth sense of passing that Fabregas does.

Guus Hiddink isn't the best manager, he'd last no time in a very competitive, talented domestic league. He's alright when he's managing a country and has months or years to train for big tournaments.

Spain are normally part of the trilogy of teams that people say should do well, but never win anything along with Holland and Portugal.

Tonight was the first night they took a big step to disproving that for once. Although they played shitty too. Let's see if they can step it up.
