1. Google is your friend if you encounter any problems with games.
2 Disable UAC if you wish.
3. Remember to disk clean up and defrag your disk often. Don't let your new computer turn into crap.

5. If you have problems with games, run in administrator mode and in compatibility mode for Windows XP. (Right click on game icon and select properties > Compatibility, you can probably figure out the rest, once you've done that, also run it in administrator mode)

8 Install all updates, microsoft is working on a lot of updates to fix compatibility issues with a lot of things.
