Default Guy Selling his Life on Ebay

Ian Usher, from Darlington, who emigrated to Australia six years ago, is selling his house, friends and job on internet auction site eBay.

The 44-year-old said he hoped to earn about £185,000 for his Perth lifestyle.

About five hours after bidding opened on Sunday, the highest offer was just over £314,000.

Up for auction is his three-bedroom home in the western Australian city and everything inside it, including his car, motorcycle, jet ski and parachuting gear.

On the day it's all sold and settled, I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all

He is also selling an introduction to his friends and a trial run at his job.

Mr Usher said: "Everything that I have - the furniture in the house - all has memories attached to it. It's time to shed the old, and in with the new.

"On the day it's all sold and settled, I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all.

"My current thoughts are to then head to the airport and ask at the flight desk where the next flight with an available seat goes to, and to get on that and see where life takes me from there."

Not is mortality but rather his stuff and his relations and his job. But this guy is really interesting...just giving up all his stuff and traveling the world with the money from the auction. Although I doubt the buyer is actually going to pay considering that it's over 2 mill right now. Anyway if you want to track the auction here's the link:

Note: for that price he should have included free shipping.

He's not selling himself, just all of his worldly possessions, his friends, and his job (Kinda).

I wonder what gave him the idea? And why he actually decided to go through with it. Kinda cool, I guess, but "seeing where life takes me" situations rarely, if ever, turn out pretty. Lets just hope that ticket of his doesn't end up going to China or something.

I saw another life-selling auction some months ago (or maybe years), i think he copied the idea of selling his life

Sounds like a decent idea to copy. His house, car and jet-ski can't possibly be worth over 2-mil (Even if it is in Australian dollars).

Yes, this guy was beaten to the punch. So now, he's just a *** who copied the guy who originally thought of this.

Yeah, but I'm sure it'll turn out to be a prank bid that wins, since the whole auction is viewed as a joke.

Plus, it's got to be close to $2,000,000. Have you seen the videos and images? He's got a spa, giant entertainment room, etc. It's sweet. Plus his hobbies are great.
