    Default A new MMO using the CryENGINE® 2 !

    Not much info yet :
"Forged by Chaos is an online, PC-based, fantasy game with many RPG elements. The game is based on the Chaos theme - worlds powered by steel and battle magic. The Player's avatar is always an evolving character, progressing from NOVICE to WARLORD through the accumulation of battle experience, the obtaining of new armor and weapons, and the development of Chaos Magic skills, as they seek to become a mighty warrior in the Forged by Chaos world."
    http://www.forgedbychaos.com/

There will supposedly be good customization, interactive environnements and enhanced game world dynamics. Oh, it will use Dx10 and the new CryENGINE® 2.

    Concept Art :

Looks cool if you ask me, i'm pretty confident they know what they're doing. I'll keep an eye on it =).

The release date isn't specified yet. When it's gonna be out, today's "high-end" pc's are probably gonna be more...affordable. :P

true , my laptop run Crysis but it cost me a arm to buy it.

Even there to upgrade your pc or buy a new one to get a supreme graphic mmo like this one . There still people that will save up money and buy something more usefull ..

there won't be much sub's in this game. beside if we can tweak the graphic but i dont think CryENGINE 2 can do that .

AoC has over 1 million subscribers already.

WAR will have millions of subscribers ( At that time the computer needed to run WAR will probably be medio-core)

So... Aion is going to use Crytek too. Just not the 2nd.

I have a bad feeling that this game will be way too room based. A huge world with Crytek 2.0 = HUGE LAG!

    you can go with Alienware
    or customize your own laptop.

that what I usually do Alienware or customise myself but the cost will blow your eyes of your sockets.

If you can run Crysis with 20-30 fps on medium and low settings....then dont even think about playing this. Mmorpgs run worse than FPS games. Cry engine 2 is just too much for an mmorpg. High graphical mmorpgs are bad enough.

Only reason Crysis is such a system hog is that its not optimized for normal computer.

Its all about the programmers doing a good job.

That character modeling is looking worse than FFTA2.

Is CryENGINE 2 the engine that Crytek says normal computers can run? If not, we're not going to have much fun playing this at 15 FPS.

Holy crap. Imagine yourself in this game, your computer can barely handle it...and to make things worse, you're in a dungeon and 10+ people are fighting with dozens of monsters. (Huge ones) And all of them are using fancy skills and magic. Lulz crash. The reason WoW has soooo many subscribers is it can pretty much run at any PC that was made after 2000.

This game will have a decent amount of subscribers, but no where near WoW I bet. Not everyone can afford a gaming PC.

CRYSIS IS NOT PROGRAMMED FOR NORMAL COMPUTERS

Sheeeeeeesh .. >_> .. There is _NO_ reason a cry engine 2 game could run smooth on a "normal" pc.

Crytech even said the new game will run better on normal pc's

Do you really think thet would license the engine if its for high end pcs only .. Entropia Universe is getting a cryengine 2 upgrade .. i doubt ppl with hardcore pcs play that game.

You dont have to have gillions of polygons on screen if you dont want it ..

or we could hope that like most games you can adjust video settings...

also for recommended crysis, here it is

    Recommended Requirements

    CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
    RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
    VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory
    Storage: 12GB
    Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
    ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
    DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10
(before was minimum) so 7800, or ATI Radeon 1800 series is good

(the option button is your friend)
