Default Intel Core and Centrino Core

I am buying a notebook. I just don't know what the differences between these two processors are. If I have understanded correct it's just names and branding... BUt I also heard that the Centrino is cheaper hence it's a little worser than the Intel...

I dunno... A little help here?

Intel makes centrino chips...Notebook cpu's are generally weaker than pc cpu's because of the limited power supply and heat capacity of the notebook.

The way I understand in the Centrino core is like the Celeron core. Basically its not as powerful, but cheaper to make and mass produce.
