They're both ****ing terrible. Play a real FPS like say Battlefield 2 and not the shitty console spin-offs.
In COD4 any match with more than 10 people is some warped up shitty version of Quake instagibs with all players using no skill and just firing like crazy. Unfortunately the bad balancing of weapons in the game allows the morons to get away with this.
Halo 3? Ugh, don't remind me of that abortion to FPS>

Depends what mode.
For multiplayer/online, Halo 3 no doubt. In Call of Duty all you have to do is throw your grenades at a high angle, call in an air-strike, repeat. I hated the online play, Halo is so much more. Requires strategy, more teamwork, more skill, etc. Plus your grenades don't have a 3-mile blast radius.
