    Default Dubbed or Subbed

So i just saw Get Smart, twice, the first time i saw it dubbed in spanish and i didn't think it was that funny, so went again to watch it subbed and i liked it a lot more. I usually prefer movies with their original languages.

So how bout you, subbed or dubbed?

The fact that most subs these days have that annoying little "Did you know?" at the top of the screen playing at the same time as everything else makes it confusing.

Like that one guy said about subs, they are shitty. They still include words like "onii-chan" and shit, when they're supposed to be TRANSLATING.

I don't really care, because, I really don't watch that many movies which are in other languages, but, I'd prefer to hear words which I can understand rather than words I cannot.

I prefer dubs. But I don't even watch anime anymore anyway.
Last thing I watched was Evangelion and that was a good dub.

I'd rather watch an anime/movie in english than have to read subtitles, but if said anime isn't dubbed completely (higurashi for example, 1-15 are dubbed, then geneon lost it or something, so only japanese after that) I'll watch the rest subbed, I'm not picky.

But what I AM picky about are games that let you choose between english and japanese voices, the people that pick japanese voices over english in this games bug the heck out of me! And usually the subtitles are japanese also, so unless you've played the game before, you don't know wtf is going on.

I prefer dubs. And I hate the fgts who always QQ about how the voices sound "horrible." Get over it. Your voice is probably whiny and high-pitched.

I like my movies subbed cause most of the time when it's translated in spanish, usually mexican, they add a lot of jokes that are just stupid or change the lines.

Subs... Most of English dubbed anime suck at voice acting, I dont even get distracted because of the subs, Becuase i am used to it (I live in the Netherlands every foreign movie, Series is subbed here.)

Offtopic: WTF happend to my xfire? All my games are wiped from my profile..

Subs would be better if its a foreign language you don't know
Originals are good if you know the language
    Dubbs are just horrible.

I played Odin Sphere with the Japanese voices on. I like the Japanese language the most out of all the languages there are. It just sounds really nice. Also, Odin Sphere's storytelling was freaking awesome.

    HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHASNORTHAHAHAHAHAHAHA That dubbing SUCKED BALLS.
I'm sorry, it just did. Loved the story, and I've watched it a few times subbed and dubbed, and granted it's not the worst dubbing. Actually, compared to most dubbing of it's time, Evangelion was done quite well. But your choices were only SUCKS BALLS or SUCKS OLD DRIED HAIRY MONKEY BALLS.
Not too much of a choice and doesn't change the fact that Eva's dubbing still SUCKS BALLS.

Oh, and I've actually watched it subbed and dubbed at the same time, to see whats really different, and more is explained in subbed, but I got more visual cues with dubbed, which for Eva is actually extremely important, because there visual character traits that are explained in the beginning and not brought up until much later on and you need to key onto those things to understand whats really going on.

For me, I saw it dubbed first, and I preferred it that way because I was able to really key onto all those visual cues, and then when I watched it subbed, I was able to keep track of those visual cues a lot easier while at the same time reading the subs

    Neither, anime sucks.

And if I want to watch an english show,I don't need portuguese dubs or subs to understand it. Infact,I get seriously pissed when a show is dubbed.

since ive been watching anime for a while now i sorta like subbing better because the dialog is the way its meant to be unchanged curses and all.......when its dubbed the words are rearranged a lot and made to sound nicer

i liked Subbed cause after a while your mind gets use to reading the words while watching and its almost like there speaking English anyways.

    Pans Labyrinth FTW.

    i like my movies subbed~
it doesn't really matter if i can understand it or not,
even english movies i open subtitles for them ,3,~
i probably like reading rather than watching... ahaha.

i hate dubs though~ but i remember going to the expo and seeing
a samurai champloo preview dubbed and it was good :> other than that,
some just completely ruins the character's voice.
also, another exception is pokemon since i did sort of grew up watching
that in english and if i were to watch the japanese one, i won't be familiar with the names~
