How do they know if anyone if going to buy them? Can't you OC the cards yourself?

there, now stop making threads
Professionally overclocked cards are better then manually overclocked cards unless it's someone with a lot of experience overclocking.
Reputation: 118I suppose so. For most of the games that are resource-hogs you'd have to tone the settings down to maintain a great FPS, but otherwise you'd be fine.
This is the 8800GS Overclocked, this is the 8800GT Overclocked.
I'd recommend the GT over the GS as it has 512MB rather then 384MB. Not that much of a price increase, especially since they have rebates.
Reputation: 14the only difference is that the companies OC cards still are under warranty but once you OC the card yourself you void the warranty....
like how my bfg 8800 gt oc has
625 MHz core clock already it used to be 600 MHz and I OCed it myself to 725 MHz
when overclocking you only get a couple of FPS in difference so it might ot be worth it...
