Why do video card companies sell high clock card for a higher price?

So would a nvidia 8800gs 384 ram overlock to 680mhz core be willing to play all the computer games out right now?

I suppose so. For most of the games that are resource-hogs you'd have to tone the settings down to maintain a great FPS, but otherwise you'd be fine.


This is the 8800GS Overclocked, this is the 8800GT Overclocked.

I'd recommend the GT over the GS as it has 512MB rather then 384MB. Not that much of a price increase, especially since they have rebates.
