Eh It Gets boring. It can be kind of fun I guess. If you get in a corporation otherwise your pretty much just a tiny spec in a big giant universe. But PVP is fun and scary when you can loose your awesome ship you just got. it can take hours-days to get skills learned when you are learning them. by learning i mean waiting for them to finish "loading". They are going to be adding the abilities to go into a planet and maybe the space station with an avatar maybe. its a big game it can take an hour or two to have to go somewhere. It just seems like a waste of time to me... but the trial is worth it and it can play on some pretty low end comps with the basic graphic pack. there are a lot of quests and people to talk to.

realistically, EVE is one of those love it or hate it types of games. The biggest thing I enjoyed about it is its sandbox environment, where if say I'm tired of pew-pewing stuff in my Harbinger I could get into my Bestower and do some courier jobs or my mining barge and mine while surfin the web.

The main gripe is that the game takes time, lots of time, with the quickest 'classes' (ie miners) taking around 2-3 months to maximize their skills in their area. Also it can spook newbs because from what I remember what happens after the initial tutorial (program & agent) and the extra storyline arc for some free mods and ships, the player is free to do whatever they want.

All in all, give it a try for a few days, ask questions and such in there.

Eve Online is as many people said, "The hate it or love it" type of game. I play it myself and I'm in the "Love it" side of it. I got 6.7mil Skillpoints in total and most derives from hybrid gunnery, ship command, drones, repairers, armor hardeners, energy systems, and drones. Some into mechanical, such as salvaging. I make money contingently by Salvaging wrecks after I do a mission, when it comes to living in 0.0 sectors, I make money by ratting out asteroid fields with my buddies.. me being the DPS ( Damage Per Second ) which means I will deal the most damage out of the group.

It's fun, but there is a price. You must learn to survive on your own if you live in 0.0 sectors, if your going to go into the PVP part of the game. There will be corporations that can give you the tools to live in 0.0, but only you can learn the tricks to it. However, high sector systems above .5 to 1.0 are the safest systems to play in. So you can still make it big by making money around there. As for 0.0, it has the stuff only 0.0 has. Which is minerals, rats, PvP, and Complexes where you can make alot more money if your a combat pilot.

The first time I started was months ago, when I first joined and got recruited by a corporation that was looking for new members. It was fun, there was mining, co-joined missioning, a system to go by in High Sector. However, it was all interrupted by a Corporation that wanted blood.. so I lost alot of Destroyers. So I had to think about my own future and left, so that there is no stopping my training.

Now, as far as game-play goes.. it gets interesting with how you look at PVE and PVP, PVE being the learning how to attack with different types and tanking them. PVP is to learn how to expect the unexpected, putting modules that affect all resistances. Hoping to face an opponent that does not have good weapon type resisters. All in all, this game is worth a try, but not for everyone. If you ever do play the game, just add "Hasate" to your friends list and ask any questions, or if your a current player with 5mil SP or more, ask me about my corporation. =.=b ( Adds a recruitment there. )

Oh yeah, as for community, some are nice, and some are pricks... ^_^
