Scary movies aren't scary anymore. The only good series that really isn't scary but could be considered a horror film is SAW.

The Shining is the only horror movie I've seen that has geniuenely freaked me out.

This Echo movie looks just like the Ring, or the Gurdge, or whatever.

    But nothing tops Jack Nicholson.

What? Thought it was a Stir of Echoes sequel. Not interested.

I like the older horror movies too.

None of them have really ever gotten to me though.

EXCEPT: House of 1000 Corpses (not old, I know)...its just ****ed up, because of where I live. There are so many old farm houses like that around here, and I wouldn't be too surprised if some shit like that was going down for real.

For shame. Stanley Kubrick's version of The Shining freaked you out, but The Thing had no effect on you? Freakiest movie to date.

No, the movie you're referring to is Stephen King's IT, which indeed is a creepy movie, but not exactly scary.

    Oh my God, the THING!!

That's my favorite monster movie ever!

Kurt Russel and Keith David were such badasses in that movie.

However, it did not freak me out. Surprised me at a few points, and got me a little close to being freaked out (like when he's using the AED on the guy and his chest opens up and bites off his arms! I saw the Thing the first time when I was eight, and that memory never left me.)
