since you are such a grammar nazi (who would say that looking at your post,its even worse than my posts when i dont pay attention to what im typing),you should be aware by now that the coined term is "RPG", most of the times offline and single player by default.

using NMMORPGS is the same as saying nonimmortal to mean mortal. or nonsubnormal to mean normal.but in this case i'll use subnormal to define you,i think it will be well applied.

on topic: OP,if you mean multiplayer RPGs,try Diablo 2,or wait for Diablo 3.

If you are talking about single player RPG's it's best to get a console game.

Dont get console games. PC's got way cooler singleplayer rpgs... Mouse + Keyboard > all with rpgs/strategy, so much more options than 10 buttons..

I think he was just trying to be funny... of course, it was a really bad attempt; deriving the term NMMORPG from MMORPG is just lame and stupid imho >_>. No offense.

But either way if you really want to know, yes non-Massive BUT Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game does exist, and we often refer them as room-based game where you create a room and only a small amount of players (say.. 8, or 20), can join in your game room and that will be it. Someone already mentioned, examples of it would be Diablo 2, NWN, NWN 2, etc.
