    Default Web Hosts.

So, I am starting a new blog soon that will be my primary blog. It's not going to be completely official/professional, more of a Keen and Graev's blog style. But, I would like to have a domain name along with a good webhost for it.

It's going to be a blog, so space isn't a huge issue as blogs don't use much. It must have the requirements to run Wordpress, if I can even get it setup (Tried on an Awardspace account, couldn't get it to work). I'm mainly looking for cheap, yet great quality for a blog.

I don't want a host that's like $7 a month + a $50 setup fee. I want one of those cheap hosts for the first couple months/year, then I'll upgrade later if I need to.

    Preferred:

    - Cheap.
    - Good features (Traffic tracking is an example)

    Must have:

    - Wordpress support.
    - Domain name included.
    - Paypal payment accepted. (Non-verified is helpful)

There's just so many, I've been browsing options off of Google for awhile now and still haven't found what I am mainly looking for.

    Edit: Added one more requirement.

That's the host Wordpress recommends, and they give you a promo code: WPDH2.

It just seems expensive. I remember sites that are incredibly cheap for a year, like $15. And they had good features too.

$5-$7/month is the base standard for webhosting pricing.

There are a few that are cheaper, but I've yet to see one that is cheaper than that and still provides anywhere near the same type of service.
Often either theres nearly no support (when your site goes down it takes a week for it go be fixed) or the skim on other things. The most common thing thats skipped is PHP support and MySQL support, which is what wordpress needs.

I didn't catch that this isn't what you were looking for though, my bad about that, but finding a $15/year host thats even half decent is hard.
Finding one with PHP and MySQL support is extremely hard.

Good luck trying to find a host though.
Just remember, the two key things that it needs is PHP and MySQL support

Yeah, but Dreamhost doesn't accept Paypal anyways so it's out of the question.

If it was $5-$7 a month, I could go for that just not right away. But I need Paypal payments accepted.
