    Question Help on computer?

Hello, I am totally frustrated with the computer I have right now, so I smashed the screen in and now need a new computer that actually runs well... anyways, I am allowed to spent around $600 saved up unless I find something good, my father will chip in some cash...

I went onto dell.com and found a basic all inclusive computer (with monitor etc)

these are the details that it showed me...

    Intel® Pentium Conroe Dual Core Processor E2200 (1MB L2 Cache, 2.2GHz,
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic Service Pack 1
    2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz- 2DIMMs
    320GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™

    the website: http://configure.dell.com/dellstore/...C=D530SDV_F_2E

I do not need a completely gamer computer, I need an all around entertainment (fast for youtube etc... aswell as games.)

Is this a good computer??? (just wondering)

Do you know any other good websites or computers that you would recommend, I appreciate it. If this is the wrong place to post please point me the right direction.

Theres a Tech sub-forum. use that.

    I'd suggest using Cyberpowerpc.com

    Great computers for great deals.

from the link u gave at dell, select another video card,ur current selection is Intel....which suxxxx for a gpu, choose one of the atis, but actually for best computer configuration u need to choose each part by yourself

I can give you a start
    best price/performance charts

    select CPU,GPU charts
currently best CPU is AMD Athlon X2 4800+
best GPU is GF 9600GSO as you can see..
If you choose these just search for a mobo with AM2 socket(the athlon's socket)and to have PCI express not agp

    also,you can check tomshardware
click charts and choose which chart.
for Ram I recommend you to go with DDR2-800mhz,its best for now.DDR3 wont increase ur speed much and its way too overpriced.

for HDD choose 320gb,Seagate,SerialATA,7200rpm,16MB(seagate barracuda 7200.11)its best read/write speed in world and its very cheap

for PSU get a normal 400W or 460W

    I hope I helped you

    buy this computer

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...7466&CatId=333

    add this video card

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...922&CatId=3670

add this monitor if you need one

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...5913&CatId=170

or build your own computer it can be much cheaper and computer parts are made so easy to install now and days a cave man can do it (apologizes to angry cavemen)

oh and add this cpu fan

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...7261&CatId=798

basically if you want a good computer even without building it from scratch your going to have to know how to install a couple of parts....which is easy as I have stated...
