a 2d side scroller engine...
i know this may be the wrong section, but this is the most posted section and it will be faster for a result (unless some people act like bastads)
what is a 2d side scroller engine? im curious in making one, like a 2d side scroller that you make a game and can lan it or use it over the internet. thanks for the replys if nyone does and gtfo if your gunna say "wrong section" or "noob"

I know this may be the wrong thread but Rose Online is not the best F2P out there, it is good, and one of the most fun ones, buts outdated you know..

You can make pretty good games with Game Maker, but it takes time and dedication, don't expect to make a game in a few weeks or months.

Game Maker...You have to pay for the Full version and everyone will crab Because it looks like PlayerWorlds lol Just use the engine that guy posted on, thats what i am doing. Maybe we can work together

It's cheap as hell, something like 20$ and you can still do a lot of things with the free version. Also, the graphics will only look like playerworlds if you rip the charsets and tilesets off rpg maker. You could make a really good looking game if you are/hire a skilled pixel artist. I've seen some really good games (both gameplay and graphics wise) on the games list.

Kris, YoYo Games use their own Game Engine also. I worked with it before and quit because of all the Nonsence and Crap and Confusion.

I worked with it too (as well as RPG Maker 2k, 2K3, XP, and other less known makers) and imo it's the best one. It's not as newbie friendly as RPG Maker, obviously, but you can do so much more with it, RPG Maker doesn't come close. And I found it a bit confusing at first too, but you get used to it after a while and GML script language is rather easy to learn.

Unless your 13...I been wanting to Make a game and have it popular. Thats what i am going to do when i grow up, create mmorpgs and have my own company. Can't wait lol
