Default Some guy threw firecrackers at me.

So yea some guy threw firecrackers at me and my friends for skating near his house.

We found a 9 set. Thats stairs for people that don't know. So we decided to skate it and this guy is like. "This is a very sick home, you have 5 minutes to leave!!!" So we look at him and we're like the dude lives in a condo.. So we just continue and about 5 minutes later we see a little red thing with smoke coming out of it flying at us and it pops right above us. So we're all like WTF and then one hits me in the leg and my friends filming all of this, so we're thinking of calling the cops but we just decided to leave.

I don't know if I should tell my parents or something cause I don't know if I'd be able to sue him. I have a huge burn on my leg and it hurts pretty bad so I'm guessing I can sue him but I'm not sure.

Edit: No it was not his house. Their is a school and a condo side by side and a fence splitting the 2. We weren't damaging anything we were just jumping over stairs so we didn't have to leave because it's not his property. + the janitor saw us skating there. If he didn't want to be bothered he could've closed his window.

It was his house so he has a right to tell you to leave, besides why not find yourself a skate park and skate there instead.

and me and my friends skate at the government center all the time so cops don't really care.
If you're so sure of yourself then go report it to a police officer. Or worse, try and sue him and pay legal fees. What are we suppose to say if you've already made up your mind that you're right?

Sue him. We'll all still think you're a prick who couldn't just find another place to skate.

If a cop saw us at a brand new high school and didn't say anything then I'm pretty sure we're allowed to skate at any school as long as it doesn't have a no trespassing sign.
Just because the janitor didn't feel like kicking you out, doesn't mean you weren't trespassing.

If you are on private property with no official business or permission, you, dear sir, are trespassing.

BULLSHIT the janitor is not the only one there!

There are other people working inside, I'm sure of it. Unless it's a 1 room school, then there has to be more janitors, people to balance accounts, etc.

And skating (hey look I used the short term I must be a skater) makes a LOT more noise than you would think.

It doesn't matter if the janitor can tell you to leave or not, it just matters that he PROBABLY DIDN'T CARE! It's not his problem, why should he deal with it?

My school doesn't even have a fence, yet we're not allowed on the premises during summer (unless for school activities or summer school). Can I sue them because they don't have a No Trespassing sign?

but anyways, yea that sucks, you should buy some fireworks and throw them back. something kinda similar happened to me like an hour ago. i was playing tennis at the school tennis courts, and then a bunch of these ghetto "african americans" walked by. i ignored them and they ignored me, except for this one kid in their group that sounded like an elementary schooler. he had like a BB gun pistol or w/e and started shooting it through the holes in the fence. he didnt hit me cuz his aim sucked ass but to look "cool" in front of his buddies he kept shouting "HAHA GOT DAT *****" and started bragging about where he hit me (even tho he didnt) and then they all just went away. if they had less people or if i had more ppl with me, probably woulda told him to shut the hell up. but it was just me and my dad (who is kinda old) and they had around 10+ people, even tho 1/4 of them were probably under 13.

actually where I come from (California) it's against the law to skate at school, open parking lots and other areas that may also disturb the public.....

the man wasn't right when he threw firecrackers at you but you shouldn't have been skating there....

and I used to skate too ( about 8 years ago was the last time I put my foot on a skate board......) I had a tony hawk birdman board with abec 7 bearings, spitfire wheels, venture trucks and black magic griptape...too bad I sold that board along with all my other ones......

kids today think they deserve things that they didn't earn...this goes to prove it......they need to learn what respect is......when I used to work at the Safeway supermarket I had to yell at these damn kids always skating in the parking lot....

Often it's just a showcase of skill. A bigger set of stairs takes more skill to clear/do tricks on.
If there are other skaters here, they will read that and think either "this guy's got skills" or, "okay, good for you."

Other than that, really, there isn't any pont.

And deselin please stfu. You still fail to understand this guy assaulted us and gave me a burn that will leave a scar. It's illegal first of all to even own fireworks here in MA and he burned me.

You all fail to understand what trespassing is. He goes to the school so its not trespassing unless asked to leave and he doesn't.

I never said he was in the wrong, I was just telling you why you were in the wrong.

Go ahead, be my guest, bring this to a court. I don't care either way, but I'm telling you, YOU WILL LOSE!

And thanks for telling me to shut up, but not PG6. You're really showing maturity here.

Even still, I'm sure in the school policy they don't allow skating in the parking lots, and school policy is year round.

You see, you wouldn't have gotten a firecracker scar if you just listen to the dude.

You're telling so many people that they're failing to understand something, while you, yourself, is being hella ignorant.

Dude, okay, go sue him, and he'll sue you. For what? Find out in court.

Trying to tell you you're as wrong as the dude that threw the firecracker at you is like talking to a brick wall; a waste of time.

It still doesn't matter, he can pin everything on you if he can convince the court of trespassing, which is most likely what he would do. The state isn't going to tolerate it if you were messing up their property.

Besides, illegal fireworks is just a small misdemeanor, as someone else in this thread said, he'd get a slap on the wrist and let off.

Some lady got $32,000 because her son got cussed out by someone for skating. I'm pretty sure I can sue him for giving me a scar.
