Torrenting privacy

So, I torrent stuff. Simple as that, I'm not going to go anymore into it. What's a program that would ensure my privacy? I know that when you torrent stuff people can see what you torrented by tracking your I.P, right? So would putting on a Proxy conceal what I torrent completely? Is there any program that could conceal your torrent downloads? ( I know programs can't completely mask/hide what you do on the internet, but are there any good ones that could maybe hide a large amount of what you do?)

You would just be hidden against anyone, who isn't taking legal steps to get your data;
Simply put, as long as you don't use anything to obscure what you do you pretty much let anyone who ever gets th idea to just check get all information he could want.
Whatever you try to do, to hinder that doesn't really matter; Your net-activety is still stored in logs and if there is someone, who tries to get you to court, you should asume, that he will get them.
