Yessiree, that's right guys. The next ridiculously mind-numbing awesome game in the fighting series is being released on the 29th of July, tomorrow. There hasn't been a European release date set yet so, sorry you guys. I'm so psyched though, this is the first time you're able to play Soul Calibur online. There'll be a premium edition set at $80.00 and it comes with
* Limited Edition Metal Tin
* Tournament Kit, including bracket and winner t-shirt
* Custom comic book / art book
* Exclusive Downloadable character costumes and weapons
I also remember hearing a rumor that Darth Vader will be downloadable on Xbox Live for free, so you can maybe get Yoda and Vader unlike in SC II where Spawn, Heihachi and Link were individual to their respective console versions. (not sure if it's vice versa for PS3) There's a lot of new content and the game just looks beautiful on a 720p Plasma T.V. There's the new Critical Finishes that you're able to do, they don't necessarily automatically kill the other person but they're just very cinematic and advanced attacks, (like the charged up attacks from Ninja Gaiden 2) here's a video.

OMFG Maxi has been one of my favorites (Really I like all the SC characters, they're all so intricate and stylish) but you know, one of my top favorites. Ever since they ditched Fei Long and had Maxi with the Elvis haircut and the Bruce-Leeish battle cries I was addicted. Not to mention if you knew how to use Maxi you never even had to stop attacking someone and could still dodge their every advance and beat the !@#$ out of them! Holy !@#$ I love Soul Calibur.

I remember a small child played with Maxi at a local Gamecrazy tournament I went to, I used Nightmare and led him to the end of the screen and bitchsmacked him out of the ring. LOL The crowd went wild and the kid started to ***** and cry and his dad had to take him out of the store because the manager told him they had to leave.

LOL You're not the only one who thinks that Jakuza, a lot of people think Kilik is cheap. I think of Blanka when people say that, how his jump kick in Street Fighter II had a lot of reach and took up good damage. My favorite (and best, I think I've only ever lost with him like twice and it's because I wasn't even trying) is Raphael. He has a lot of counter attacks and interruption attacks but he's quick as lightning too. Kilik's new duds in SCIV make him look great, I can't wait to start busting heads online lmfao.

Nope, the A.I. in the SC series since #2 has been razor sharp. It's so deep and technical now, I love Soul Calibur because it's the most balanced fighting game on the market. There's no actual character who's supremely cheap and can cheese to win, if you're good enough with a character you can use him to defeat anyone. I just alternate because it helps me become familiar with all of their moves and helps me counter and avoid them when I play with my favorites, lol. To be honest for the tournaments I've been to I haven't played a really good person, maybe I'm just really nerdy when it comes to that stuff or I'm just naturally really good (doubt it, train my ass off lol) but I haven't placed under first yet.
I just don't see why Darth Vader WOULDN'T be offered up on Xbox Live at some point, Yoda on PSN is a little less likely cause you don't hear about downloadable content too much on PS3 besides promises of them in the future.
I've always liked Link from the Gamecube versions. For actual Soul Calibur characters I prefer Talim or Raphael, sometimes Xianghua. I'm not particularly good with any of them though, I just like their fighting styles.
this game is the only one with such fluent blocking were u can block everything i personaly new all kiliks moves so wasnt cheap to me. after you learn all the characters combo moves its all about perfecting your block on here. ive been to soul edge tournament the very first game of it and won so easily with astoroth it was pathetic i realy dont think theres gonna be any challenge for me specialy when i hear people complaining kilik cheap when he's not just learn his moves and hes one the easiest to block off.
