    Default Slow start up

Before anyone begin with the '' you might have a slow processor'' i have a 2.4 dual core 8300 edition.

Basically the problem is, whenever i press login ( windows login at start) my computer gets stucked for like 2 mins, its not using CPU ressources, it might be something with my gfx drivers but i have tried some different versions of graphic drivers, no luck.

It's a new laptop btw, and i have tried reformating... OS: Windows Xp Pro SP3

sounds like you have a lot of start-up items. Anything that you don't need to start up automatically, turn that off.

There are tons of programs that can help you do this. The one that I use is Autoruns from sysinternals, but that may be a bit advanced for you because it shows the entire system startup list, including the stuff that you DO NOT want to turn off ever(doing so would make your system never, ever boot).
I know under spybot, in the advanced tools, it has a start-up manager.

If either of those don't work for you, look around. There are a ton of them.

Thanks for the help Fabiann... But I can assure you that isnt the problem. Its all new, i have few start up programs, and im talking about BEFORE it gets to the Windows Desktop... I barely use 5% there on cpu usage.

You could always get ccleaner, it has a start up list as well, or do msconfig in the run window

From the results in Google, it looks like a networking problem.
