it seems like every mmo i've played or any new mmo that comes out is nothing but a disappointment. whether they're rpg, fps/3ps, etc. they just don't seem any good. seems like b2p games that arn't mmos are the best option. i don't know about anyone else but i'm starting to give up on the genre all together.

usally just stick with games like rumblefighters. where u can just play a quick round. leave n live on.

Well there are some good p2p out there, but most f2p are too obsessed with cash shops that it ruins the fun.

Maybe we are just getting old... seems that everyones always talking about the older mmorpgs, reflecting on the "good old days" in the old mmorpgs :3 We just miss the fun we had when we were younger :o, thus waiting for sequels. (ever notice how new gamers dont care about sequels coz they dont know about the their prequels? :x)

Age is a large part of the issue.

Right now I'm starting all over on Guild Wars. Starting up on the first one and working my way from there, get to GW:EN and grab the stuffs to send through to GW2, the one small bit of hope I have leaft for MMOs... Besides WAR, but that could be crap too, we'll wait and see.

But I have given up for the most part, but for now this games holding my attention pretty tightly.

The Agency (spy fps mixed with a mmorpg new concepts)
CartoonNetwork FusionFall (platform gaming in a mmo not just point and click)
StarCraft 2 (hope it is not a let down)
Diablo 3 (good to go back to an old school game with a new layout)

Most of us here at onrpg have the onrpg itis, which makes us game hop. We can't stick to one and that leads us to being bored and not satisfied.

Then again some of us are getting older, and games seem to be not as appealing. We can't go back to the old games we used to play. The feeling and experience will not be the same as we remember.

The new games we play do not seem to be up to par with our standards and are cliche's nothing new or special.
