Hacker Group FairX Blackmailing PlayOMG via N.E.O Online
PlayOMG’s free-to-play MMORPG, N.E.O Online, has been attacked by a group of hackers who claim themselves as FairX during the past few days. These people establish an in-game guild called “Fairlighters” and purposely crack game client and perform various improper actions in-game.
The hacker group FairX declares that they have cracked over 1,300 games, and even assist one online game company to produce anti-hacking system. FairX demand PlayOMG to negotiate with them through Skype. They claim that they crack into N.E.O Online for educational purpose and want to provide “solutions” to improve N.E.O Online’s security system. Unless PlayOMG give in to their offers, they will not stop attacking N.E.O Online, and will further crash all PlayOMG games.
Currently, PlayOMG and developer SONOV are trying their best to solve this problem caused by the hacker group FairX. PlayOMG will neither accept their offers, nor allow them to affect N.E.O Online. PlayOMG would like to convey sincere apology towards all supporters of N.E.O Online. Proper actions will be taken to prevent similar issues from happening again.
