Steam Release Date and New Trailer for Dawn of Fantasy

 

 

Indie MMORTS game Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars will soon become the latest ‘Greenlit’ title to be released on Steam. Since the game was voted onto Steam by the game playing community back in November through Steam’s Greenlight project, Dawn of Fantasy’s developer Reverie World Studios has been working hard on adding various new features in time for the Steam release. Now, after working with Valve, the release date for Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars has been set as April 1st 2013, and, no, this is not an early April Fool’s Day joke.

 

 

“All of us at Reverie are thrilled about this latest move and are grateful for the support of Valve and the Steam community,” stated Executive Producer Konstantin Fomenko, “Release on the Steam platform will be an important next step in our continuous development of this indie game.”

 

 

A new trailer for Dawn of Fantasy: Kingdom Wars has been released ahead of the game’s launch on Steam. Featuring all in-game footage, this trailer shows off some of the new features and visual improvements that we added to Dawn of Fantasy over the past several months. In addition this trailer gives players preview of features still to come – like Naval Combat and Magic.

 

 

 

The developer’s have also made a commitment that existing players will be able to activate the game on Steam without any additional purchase. A spokesperson for Reverie World Studios has stated that instructions for how players can activate the game on Steam will be available from the developer’s website closer to release.
