Onrpg: What is MangaFighter and what are its features?
Manga Fighter is our new 3rd person shooter game. It plays like most 3rd/1st person shooter games out there but it is more advanced. You have the ability to select different characters and customize them with 100’s of different costumes and weapons. It also has some MMO aspects to it as your characters can gain levels, ranks and skills.
Onrpg: How do you play Manga Fighter and what makes it such good gameplay?
Manga Fighter plays like most other 3rd person shooter games that are currently out there. You can fight at long range with weapons or up close with melee weapons. There are also different modes of play such as death match, team death match and capture the flag. To play the game for the next closed beta test all you need to do is visit our website and sign up for an account. Then download the client and install it.
Onrpg: What makes MangaFighter unique from other MMOs?
Well, Manga Fighter is a cross between a 3rd person shooter and an MMO. Unlike most 3rd person shooters you can save your progress and rank. You can also customize your characters looks and skills to make them unique. Most MMO games are based on PVE (player versus environment) while Manga Fighter is all PVP. You gain experience and skills by fighting other players. Also, you can enjoy most aspects of the game no matter what level you are. In a lot of MMO games you need to be a certain level to enjoy or see all parts of the game.
Onrpg: How many kinds of characters are there available to play as in MangaFighter?
There are currently 6 characters you can choose from, but we do plan on releasing new characters. Each character has their own unique skills and abilities that help them survive.
Onrpg: What sorts of items will be available in the game?
There will be an in game item mall where you can purchase hundreds of different items including skill cards, items, and clothes. There will eventually be a premium item shop as well.
Onrpg: Will MangaFighter be free to play? If so, how will your company support the game financially?
Manga Fighter will be a free to play game. We plan on using the premium item mall to support the game. The Premium Item Mall will contain unique and powerful items that players will be able to purchase with real money. In general these items cost are very low and range from $1 to $5.
Onrpg: What brought this game to your company’s attention and lead to the decision to bring it to English speaking audiences?
Manga Fighter was developed by OnNet Korea and we decided to bring it to the US first. We don’t have the exact details as to why we decided to release it to the US first, but we at OnNet USA are glad it will be released here first.
Onrpg: How would you describe your playing style?
I personally enjoy playing this game a lot and I guess I would describe my playing style as aggressive. I am very competitive when in comes to video games.
Onrpg: What are the current plans for supporting MangaFighter with new content?
We plan on releasing new weapons, character, items, and maps after the game goes live. We also have a monthly Manga contest where player actually get to write a story for Manga Fighter. The winner of the contest will get their story posted on the main page of our website.
