Monkey King: Hero is Back is a new title from Oasis Games, and is based on the beloved Chinese animated film. It’s now available on Steam in a Standard Edition (34.99) and a Deluxe Edition with additional content (59.99). There are physical editions for the PC and Playstation 4 by THQ Nordic, and in association with Sony Interactive and Oasis Games.
Monkey King: Hero is Back is based on the record-breaking Chinese animated movie of the same name that was itself inspired by one of China’s Four Great Classical Novels, Journey to the West. Following the original tale, Monkey King, Pigsy, and Liuer will feature new episodes not portrayed in the original film. It will combine Chinese mythology with kung-fu action, which aims to highlight the authentic Chinese spirit from the film for a global audience.
