Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games announced that Remnant: From the Ashes has officially sold more than a million units. To celebrate, they will release a new update on October 31st, 2019, which will add new content and rewards for players. They also revealed the content map players can look forward to through 2020, which you can see in the image above. This includes one of the most oft-requested features: Hardcore Mode. In it, players will need to complete the game with only one life.
To maintain a level playing field, Hardcore characters cannot play online with anyone but other Hardcores, and can’t randomly matchmake. They will have to manually invite friends, or other Survivors to their games. This mode is not without its rewards though. Completing dangerous challenges (World Bosses) will net new rings with powerful effects. What’s better, these items will be available to all characters on a player’s account, Standard and Hardcore alike, once obtained. This will also make the Hardcore experience a bit more palatable for future challenges. More information can be found here.
