Lego Universe Preview: Absolutely Yes!

REVIEW

A little over 20 years ago, my great-aunt visited from America. I did what any self respecting child would do when confronted by a relation that you have never heard of nor seen before.

Battleswarm Online Review: Crossover battle

REVIEW

When I first saw Battleswarm, I was weirded out by the overall concept. For those of you who don't know, Battleswarm is a new MMO that mixes the elements of FPS shooters and Real Time Strategy games, thus making an awesome hybrid of both genres (Real Time First Person Strategy Combat?). There isn't really a storyline to ponder on, but the game does have enough action to keep you playing for hours. The game revolves around 2 races, and both have their own distinct gameplay. What makes the game interesting is how they incorporated the face-off between the two genres. Battleswarm is still in its open beta stage, so I can't say how goodthe final product will be. Anyway, here's what we have so far.

Navyfield Online Review: Fast Action

REVIEW

If you're looking for a fast paced game that gives high rewards in little time, then Navyfield Online is the game for you. The game is based on the watery graves of World War II, where players must create and upgrade ships in order to compete with enemy players. Navyfield Online is more of a casual gaming experience rather than the traditional time consuming grindfest. It's not really the type of game that will lock players in an instance for ten hours; instead, it lets players enjoy every minute of the game with less customizations and more action. Sounds good? Consider it a breath of fresh air after your mundane MMO experience. High-end torpedo battles, carrier gunning, fire control systems, let's see what else this game has to offer?

Dekaron Review: Old School is Old School

REVIEW

Only a few games have included "action" into their description. Dekaron (2Moons in other countries) is one example. The game is 3D and takes place in a world where humanity is on the verge of extinction. Only the Dekaron, or the resistors of evil and the protectors of humanity are equipped to fight against the monster horde.

Ether Saga Online Review: Where’s my bunny?

REVIEW

Pets, pets, pets and more pets! Pets and minions have always been an obsession to me. If a game didn't provide these awesome creatures I wouldn't be interested.  This is exactly the reason why I was so amazed by Ether Saga Online, a game created by Perfect World Entertainment, the creators of Perfect World.  The game had everything I wanted! Fast combat, flashy skills, billions of slave-.. pets, beautiful graphics and life skills. I didn't hesitate a moment and tried to download it from three different sites, to see which one would be the fastest. After ten exciting minutes I was able to enter the game and make my dreams come true, but I should have known that dreams will always remain dreams....

Fall of Empires Review: Beyond First Impressions

REVIEW

They say first impressions last. If that were true then this game, Fall of Empires would suck tremendously. Fall of Empires is a MMO Web Browser Game that focuses on an all out war between the several of the ancient empires in history. The interface was probably the first thing I noticed as it was designed a bit poorly, rather like that of other static websites during the 90s.

Why Final Fantasy XIV Will Fail

REVIEW

Final Fantasy XIV's success or failure is dependent on one thing, and one thing only.  Sadly enough this has nothing to do with the depth and variety of the game play , its visual style or storyline.  No, instead Square Enix's new MMORPG will either soar, or die at the bottom of the charts depending on its marketing.  Unfortunately Final Fantasy XIV's marketing is in shambles.  I'll explain why.

WWII Warfare Review: World War In Your Browser

REVIEW

WWII Warfare as you may have guessed, is a Massively Multiplayer Online Web Browser Game set on the historical background of World War II (well duh!). Much like other Web Browser games, you'll be training soldiers, battling across enemy lines and boosting your options as you progress further in the game. One of the best reasons to play a browser game is their ability to not take up space in your hard drive. The sheer beauty of it is the fact that you only need a working Internet connection and a web browser to play the game. You need not worry about system requirements either, for these types of games don't really demand much from your system.

Evony. The Good, The Bad and The “I Need More Lumber”

REVIEW

Hands up who hasn't heard of Evony. For the maybe two and half of you who just raised your hands, where have you been? Like it or loathe it, Evony has made itself known to the internet at large and boy has there been an impact.

Navyfield Review: Boom Go the Cannons

REVIEW

Out of the various titles I've played since I started out playing videogames there has been one game theme that has been my favorite and has been on top of my priority list of things to "look out for" in the MMO scene.

The Warlord Online Review: The ‘Massively’ in MMO

REVIEW

If you're looking for an MMO that actually serves its MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER purpose, then The Warlords online is the game for you. The game concentrates on the world of Ancient China. Some historical facts are detailed in the storyline as well, but much like other Asian MMO games, the story is poorly implemented. You're technically stuck in one moment in time and the only progression in the story you will ever see is your character reaching a higher level. If however you're that interested in learning the in game lore, everything you need to know is jotted down in the game's website. The game does revolve around action so I suppose putting in an ingame storyline would change the whole feel of the game, so technically it's a casual non-lore-heavy MMO game.
