Creamative revealed the first story details for their upcoming multiplayer beat ’em up for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch, Clan N. Clan N are an ancient group of Samurai, sworn to protect the realm from any who seek to destroy it. The four group members consist of the shinobigatana-wielding ninja Akira, the staff-striking Reina, the dual sword-swinging Daiki, and the sickle-slashing monk Tarou.
Each character has their own unique magical abilities, from Akira’s lightning bolts, Reina’s earthquake shocks, Daiki’s tornado waves, and Tarou’s Dragon summoning. Akuji is a former samurai of the Clan N that discovered the balance of the world lies in three areas: Peace, Knowledge, and Time. Akuji found that if you knock the world of one of these, you can harness the powers of “spiritual imbalance” and grow stronger from it. As a result of pursuing spiritual imbalance, he was shunned from the samurai temple and kicked out of Clan N.
Attaining spiritual imbalance gives dark powers, but it also consumes that person’s purity and light. After being banished, Akuji was able to destroy the peace of the land through slaughtering villages, and retaining the power of those he killed. He ultimately became the Far East’s greatest sorcerer, and formed Seishin Gun, which served as his army.
