KOG Games, the leading game developer and publisher behind Elsword and Grand Chase, announced that the closed beta of Return Alive, an upcoming post-apocalyptic looter shooter, is live now.

From June 29, 12AM (PST), to July 7, 12AM (PST), the closed beta offers players the opportunity to dive headfirst into the world of Return Alive. To participate, interested players can request access by visiting the Return Alive game page on STEAM.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world shrouded with toxic gas, and the mercenary guilds are the ones dedicated to investigating the gas layer and reclaiming lost resources. As members of the mercenary guild, players embark on a perilous journey to the Abandoned Lands. In this hostile environment, every individual must adapt and learn to survive, collecting precious resources and unlocking advanced technology along the way.

Return Alive presents a gripping battleground where players can engage in thrilling PvP (Player versus Player) and PvE (Player versus Environment) encounters. Navigating through treacherous environments, players must face off against both formidable opponents and monstrous creatures, all while striving to secure their escape via a designated extraction point. Succeeding in this challenge requires crafting powerful weapons and enhancing characters’ abilities using rewards acquired throughout the battleground.

During the beta test, players will have the chance to select from three distinct and remarkable mercenary characters. Each character boasts unique skills, providing players with a diverse and captivating gameplay experience. The available characters include:

  • Ned: A well-trained mercenary with a robust physique, Ned specializes in causing extensive damage over a wide area using his arsenal of grenades.
  • Yuni: Possessing a brilliant intellect and unmatched swiftness, Yuni’s unique ability, Sprint, enables her to surge forward with heightened speed, giving her a tactical advantage in battles.
  • Urth: This efficient combat machine with perfect AI can generate defensive shields for protection and unleash devastating laser attacks, making Urth a formidable force to be reckoned with.

The closed beta also showcases two exciting game modes:

  • Solo Deathmatch: Engage in an intense five-minute deathmatch involving eight players, where only the strongest will emerge victorious.
  • Survival: Experience the thrill of an intense escape game with 14 players, where quick thinking and resourcefulness are the keys to survival.
