What does a music video, an instructional video, a love story, a comedy, an action pack thriller all have in common? They’re all examples of the kinds of videos that you can make for the Shadow of Legend Video contest!
The Shadow of Legend Video contest is open-ended in that we will accept any genre of video for the contest. However, the video MUST demonstrate ANY unique features of the Shadow of Legend game. Here are some examples of SOL’s features:
• Adventure, quest, mount
• Trade, auction, banking
• Crafting weapons and armor
• Mentoring other players with our Master-Student system
• Player vs Player
• Participate in events, such as the Mushroom event and Turtle Island event
• Participate in instances, such as the Zombie instance
• Live chat
• Grouping and Guilds
The player who receives the most hits/views for his or her video by 12:00pm PDT on Friday, June 13, 2008; will be declared the winner. ONE winner will be chosen for the contest. The contest winner will then be rewarded with 10,000 SOL Diamonds – A $100 dollar value!!! Contest Rules below:
Shadow of Legend Video Contest Rules:
1. Participants must first be registered to play Shadow of Legend. To register for an account, please visit the SmartCell website at http://www.smartcell.com/, and click on “Sign up”.
2. Create a video about Shadow of Legend that demonstrates ANY of the game’s features.
3. If you would like to work with another participant to create the video, you may. The winnings will then be split equally among the team members.
4. If you don’t have one already, register an account with popular media site, YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/), for you will be uploading your video to the site.
5. Upload your video to YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/). Your video MUST be searchable under the query “Shadow of Legend” on YouTube.
6. Place the text, “Shadow of Legend May 2008 Video Contest”, anywhere in the description when you upload your video.
7. Contest ends at 12:00pm PDT on Friday, June 13, 2008.
8. “GrandMasterSOL” will contact the winner via YouTube mailbox.
9. The winner has till July 15, 2008 to claim the prize.
10. The winner will be announced on June 16th on the Shadow of Legend website (http://www.shadowoflegend.com/).
