Battletech: Urban Warfare Expansion Released

Urban Warfare is the latest expansion for BATTLETECH, and arrives today, bringing the fight to the streets in all new ways. It is available for 19.99 and is also a part of the BATTLETECH Season Pass. This expansion will add challenging lines of sight, forgotten technologies, and new street features, but isn’t without its dangers. Floods, explosions, and ECM are always waiting for the unwary Battletech pilot. Electronic Warfare, once lost has returned, and mechs with ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) will obscure themselves and nearby friendlies from enemy targeting systems. They will also be immune to direct fire.

Battletech pilots can also look forward to two new mechs – the Experimental Raven 1X, and the Javelin. The Javelin is a blend of speed and firepower, which hosts close-range knockout power, where the Raven 1X has ECM and Active Probe Systems in a lightweight system. There are, of course, new Flashpoints, new enemy vehicles, encounters and so much more. But the biggest change is probably the Urban Combat. Battles in the streets will offer new challenges, but they are also fully destructible – if those homes or buildings are in the way, nuke ’em out of the way!

BATTLETECH and the Flashpoint DLC are available at a discount on Steam to celebrate the explosive launch of Urban Warfare, with the discount available until Friday, June 7, 2019, at 19:00 CEST (10:00 AM PDT).
